What is the standard for button arrangements in a software made for a company?

What is the standard for button arrangements in a software made for a
company?

I am preparing a software for a company in Java, using NetBeans 7.3.1 I
was asked to follow the standards for interfaces according to the button
arrangement standards. I would like to know what is the pattern I have to
follow according to the button arrangement standards and also standards
for other items like textboxes......please help.....
